IELTS or PTE: which test should you take

Most universities and visa applications accept either IELTS or PTE as proof of English proficiency, but the two tests are quite different in format. Understanding those differences can help you choose the test that suits your strengths.
IELTS uses a mix of written and spoken formats, with a face to face speaking test, while PTE is fully computer based, including the speaking section. If you feel more confident speaking into a microphone than to an examiner, PTE may suit you better.
